This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit https://linkedy.io and use our SaaS application, specifically regarding your connection to the LinkedIn API Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide our AI-powered LinkedIn content creation and publishing services.

A. Personal Account Information

When you register, we may collect:
  • Identity Data: Name and email address (from Google sign-in).
  • Profile Data: Profile picture from your Google account.

B. LinkedIn API Data

Linkedy accesses certain data from your LinkedIn account via LinkedIn API Services. We only access data essential to the functionality of our tool.

Scope of Access:
  • Profile Information: Your LinkedIn profile ID and name, used to identify your account and attribute published posts.
  • Post Publishing: We write posts, captions, and images to LinkedIn on your behalf for posts you have reviewed and approved within the platform.
  • OAuth Tokens: We store your LinkedIn OAuth access tokens (encrypted) to enable scheduled and on-demand publishing.

C. Brand & Content Data

  • Brand Setup: Industry, niche, target audience, voice tone, visual theme, and colour palette you enter during onboarding.
  • Generated Content: AI-written posts, captions, and AI-generated images created within the platform.
  • Content Calendar: Your scheduling preferences and publish history.

D. Usage Data

We automatically collect data on how the Service is accessed, including your IP address, browser type, and interaction logs within the dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:
  1. Service Fulfillment: To generate AI-written LinkedIn posts and images, build your brand voice profile, and publish approved content to LinkedIn on your behalf.
  2. AI Content Generation: We process your brand data and content preferences through our AI providers (Anthropic Claude, Perplexity Sonar) to generate personalised posts and research trends.
  3. Image Generation: We send your brand's visual identity data to our image generation provider (Replicate) to produce on-brand visuals.
  4. Communication: To send you service updates, security alerts, and support messages.

3. Compliance with LinkedIn API Terms

Linkedy strictly adheres to the LinkedIn API Terms of Use and the LinkedIn Marketing Developer Platform Agreement.
  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell your LinkedIn user data to third parties.
  • Limited Use: We use your LinkedIn data solely to provide the user-facing features of Linkedy (content publishing and profile attribution). We do not use your data for advertising targeting or creditworthiness purposes.
  • Revocation: You can revoke Linkedy's access to your LinkedIn account at any time via the Settings page in the app or directly from your LinkedIn account's Permitted Services settings.

4. Google User Data

Linkedy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google account data only to authenticate you and operate your Linkedy workspace. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors

We do not share your personal data with advertisers. We share data only with the following sub-processors required to run the app:
  • Anthropic (Claude) via OpenRouter: We send your brand data and writing prompts to generate LinkedIn post copy. Data sent via the API is not used to train their public models.
  • Perplexity (Sonar Pro) via OpenRouter: We send niche and topic queries to research trending content ideas.
  • Replicate: We send visual identity parameters to generate on-brand images.
  • Convex: Our database and backend infrastructure provider for secure data hosting and storage.
  • Google OAuth: For user authentication only; we access your name, email address, and profile picture to sign you in and display your account.

6. Data Retention

  • Generated Content: Posts and images are retained as long as your account is active.
  • Brand Profiles: Voice and visual identity profiles are stored until you delete the brand or your account.
  • LinkedIn OAuth Tokens: Stored encrypted and deleted immediately upon disconnection or account deletion.
  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Security of Your Data

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • OAuth tokens for LinkedIn access are stored securely and encrypted; we never store your LinkedIn password.
  • We use industry-standard access controls to limit internal access to your data.

8. Your Data Protection Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
  • Right to access: You can request copies of your personal data.
  • Right to rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate information.
  • Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data and account.
  • Right to withdraw consent: You can disconnect your LinkedIn account at any time via the Settings page.
